I’ve done the math, and believe me, it wasn’t that hard. For our ’06 Fall Tour, Paul and I will need approximately 50 songs. That means I’ll have to write a new song each week until the tour. I used the complicated formula below to arrive at this figure, where x is equal to the number rolled on two 6 sided dice, divided by the current time, at the time of calculation:

Well. I was unable to get the latches for my Rhodes Mark V case. Apparently, Penn Fabrication will only sell in quantities greater than 500 to their distributors, and my distributor won’t place such an order when I only want 3. No problem. I suppose I could always loop a giant leather belt around it. If the situation changes, I’ll let you know. There must be /someone/ out there who needs the same part! If we find enough of us, we could place an order.
I came across a webpage that tells you how to add MIDI to a Fender Rhodes piano. I think this would be really cool. I’ve heard that Chick Corea used his Rhodes Mark V with MIDI (one of 3 prototypes built at the factory) on some recordings.
But I wonder if the MIDI installation would work the same with a Rhodes Mark V as it would with an earlier Rhodes which has a wooden case. Something worth investigating.
So the latest item I’m looking for to add to my keyboard rig is a Yamaha CP-80 Electric/Acoustic Piano. Take a look at the Yamaha CP-80 sales brochure to see some nice pictures (the website is in german, but the brochure is in english).

By default, your mouse scroll wheel won’t work in Visual Basic 6. You’ll have to download a dll that will add the functionality to Visual Basic 6.

Although the scroll wheel was invented by Mouse Systems (now owned by KYE) in the early ’90s, its popularity skyrocketed in 1996 when Microsoft made it part of their IntelliMouse®.
I found it humerous that the company that popularized the scroll wheel, didn’t even support it by default in the software it sells. In 1998, when Visual Basic 6 was released, I suppose Microsoft had been selling scroll mice for 2 years. Oh well, I’m glad they provide a download that fixes the problem. 😉

Well this is a rough cut…all first takes. Playing my Yamaha SE203 guitar through my vintage Ampeg Jet 12-T with some post effects applied….sounds killer me thinks. This started out as a quiet acoustic song. How strange. Again, it is a work in progress… enjoy.

I found a dealer of Penn Fabrication parts, who is willing to order the replacement latches for my Rhodes Mark V piano. This is great, because Penn Fabrication had a minimum order restriction of $75. Parts Express has been very responsive to my requests for these parts. Also, if you have a Rhodes Mark V that needs replacement latches for the case lid, this is the only source that I have found that can get adequate replacements.
Once I recieve the latches and get them installed, I’ll take some pictures and post them.
I was reading a bit more about quantum entanglement, while thinking about my previous post and came across a quantum entanglement webpage that had this to say:
